Are you in for a treat today, my friends! I had this idea and immediately couldn’t wait to write it down and get it out to all of you guys. I did this recently with my sisters before the holidays and I feel like it was so much fun to do with a group of friends because you felt this little bit of external pressure, but also the camaraderie of doing things together. Our version was a little different than this, but I wanted to make it a bit more manageable and bite size.
In January one of my favorite things to do is organize. I literally get giddy just thinking about all the purging I will do once the New Year is here. I have been doing this for SO many years and I thought I would take you all along, but allow you to create your own version of what this looks like for you and your home, while also making it more manageable, as I mentioned.
Our homes are extensions of ourselves and when we aren’t able to feel at peace within them, it can make such an impact on our mental health, and ultimately our happiness. We so easily accumulate things and bring things into our homes that we don’t need or don’t really love and this reset is going to help bring that all back for you.
Okay, so you are probably wondering what it is, right?
Here is what we are going to do. We are going to write down TWELVE areas to organize or to-dos we have been procrastinating or cleaning tasks that have been driving us crazy and I want you to number them 1-12. Then, each week we will take a random number and we will tackle that one off of our lists for the week. Now, I am going to do this with you, so each week I will announce the number on Instagram, so make sure you are following along there. I will do this each Monday, but I will make sure I save them to highlights too, in case you miss it.
I am thinking we will start next Monday because I am on vacation, BUT if you guys are ready to go this week I can get myself organized and will just have to double up next week 🙂 I am not opposed to this haha.
I love doing little challenges like this and feel like it will be so fun to do together. I got a lot done when I did it with my sisters and really felt like it was doable given you had an entire week to accomplish each task.
So, until we start on Monday, I want you to think about your twelve tasks. Like I said, you can either make these organizational things within your home, to-dos, or cleaning tasks (ie maybe you want to clean out your fridge and haven’t had the chance in forever). Whatever is eating at you and in the back of your mind, is going to go on your list.
I am SO excited for this challenge and I can’t wait to dive in with you! I am going to go write my list right now!
