A Simple Prayer

So I am not sure where this is going to go, but I need another blog post, so here I am writing anyways. Trying to figure it out. Trying to get my mind going. The sad thing, is that all I can think about is some tragic news John told me last night. It is not my place to share at this time, but when I think about writing, I think about writing about that. I think about the stuff that lies deep on my heart and it flows. I think about the other sad news I have received over the past few months…about friends going through hardships, family struggling, coworkers experiencing life’s hurdles…

It seems unfair to write about something funny and lighthearted. Something that is surface level because it makes for a good blog post….

Instead, I think this will be it. A prayer to all the ones I love…

Dear Lord,

Please watch over all of my friends, family, coworkers, followers, etc today. Help guide them through these difficult paths you lay before us. I know, we don’t necessarily always understand why these things are happening, so Lord, please walk with them during this time and let them know they are now alone. Give them strength Lord that they may begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel and give them guidance as to how to manage this difficult journey. Lord, I ask that you let them know I am praying for them. Comfort them, touch them, and spread your light in them. Lord, let them know I am thinking of them, I am praying for them, and they are on my hearts. While others may forget and move past with time, I am here, thinking of them, praying for them, and wishing only the best. I know these experiences are set before them for a purpose Lord, and I ask that you share with them that purpose in your due time. Thank you for hearing my prayer today, and everyday.

This is a beautiful post. You are one of the kindest most thoughtful people I know. We are all better for knowing you. I know I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to get to know you. There are so many silent warriors out there fighting many battles no one knows about. We are all lucky knowing you are there always ready to help with the battle!!!
