I am so happy Friday has arrived! For those of you that follow me on social media, you may have noticed I was headed on a little weekend getaway. Wanna know where I woke up this morning? San Francisco!! As you may remember from my previous post, this weekend is my mom, sisters, and I’s annual girls’ trip and this year, we are in beautiful San Francisco. Even after living in CA almost my entire life, this is my first trip ever here and I am so so excited. Be sure to follow me on social media to see what we are up to!
But now, to the important stuff…like…the many ways to wear a scarf. Last year, I started noticing neck scarves more and more and with Spring in just around the corner, the trend is back to bless us again. This year though, I thought I would do something a little bit different. This year, I thought I would share the numerous ways you can actually wear a neck scarf or bandana (or at least how I’ll be styling it)!
We all see them around right? They look so pretty and fun, but what the heck do you do with them? Well, don’t worry. I have you covered because I have rounded up my three favorite ways to wear a neck scarf with some extra styles thrown in for some even more fun!
Let’s start.
First is the ever obvious, wearing it around your neck. Now, this look is not for everyone, but personally I love it when girls rock this style. Here I styled it with a more casual look, like jeans and t-shirt, but I think it would be super cute with a a dress and sweater, shorts, and a tank, etc.
Second, is wearing it in your hair. I especially think this look is so perfect with some loose curls. Here I am wearing my hair in a pony tail, but you could also do half-up, half-down, wear it as a headband, wear it with a high pony tail, tie it at the end of a pretty french braid, wear it around a bun…the options are endless. Just be sure to look for one a scarf that compliments you hair and skin tone. That way it will make your face pop.
Lastly, is simply styling it on your bag. Some purse designers have actually created scarf lines meant purposefully for their bags (Burberry I am looking at you), but you don’t need a designer bag (nor a designer scarf) to pull this one off. Here I styled it with my Neverfull but I also have a simple Madewell bag ( you can find it here), that a scarf looks so cute on! In this situation you can either just tie it on a handle, or wrap it around the handles of the bag. Super fun and a great way to spice up your look.
Below, I have rounded up a few other fun ways I have seen scarves being worn too! Comment below and let me know your favorite!
