My Go-To Organizer: Erin Condren Planner

Given that I am a type-A personality (really I say A- because I am not too crazy, it just depends on what it is), I have to stay organized and know exactly what is going on at all times so I can be ready. I hate not knowing and it is definitely something I am getting better at given my husband doesn’t like to tell me things until the day off haha. However, for the most part, I try to stay pretty organized. And given, I am a pen and paper kind of girl (you all have seen my pen collection), I have to have an agenda. I started using an agenda in middle school. Back then they were provided to you as a way to stay organized. Well, since then, I have always had one. The type has varied, depending upon my stage of life, but no matter what, I have to have a bound book with all of my appointments and reminders in one place.

To be honest, after college, it was quite difficult for me to find one that worked with lifestyle. I did’t have tons of assignments and things that needed to get done anymore, it was more travel plans and birthdays, so it took me a while to find something I like. But, don’t worry. After trying about 10 different styles and variations (I still switch it up sometimes), I have found one that is perfect for my life now and that is the Erin Condren LifePlanner.

Not only is it pretty (a must), it also allows for quite a bit of personalization which I love. Each year, they come out with new styles you can choose from for the cover, so you can really choose a cover that fits your individual personality. I also love that you have the option of choosing your pages to be horizontal or vertical. Horizontal allows for multiple lines per date, whereas vertical has three boxes going down. Personally, I go for the vertical because I like the three separate boxes, but it is really whatever works for you. Each page is then designed with multiple areas to write lists, quotes, or little forget-me-nots. I love these areas because they really allow you to get creative if you would like. For example, on one of mine, I like to keep track of what books I am reading and have read. In this way, I can see how many I have read in the month and then in the year.

Another reason I LOVE this planner, is that there is an entire community that has created stickers made specifically for decorating your Erin Condren. Some of you may remember my hobby suggestion from this post, in which I recommend trying agenda decorating! It is super fun and all of the stickers are SO cute. I used to do it every week with my sister Onge when I lived back in CA, but recently I haven’t focussed on it as much. It is a great way to relax though, and allow your creativity to express itself.

The only caveat to this agenda, however, is that it can be pricey. The agenda itself averages anywhere from $40-$70 depending upon your personalization. Often times they do discount it and provide 20% off. I recommend purchasing then. There is one time I KNOW this happens though (because it is when I typically buy), and that is during Thanksgiving week. So, if you would like to give it a try, this is a great opportunity to do so.

If you decide to order, let me know! I would love to see what styles you pick out. It is such a beautiful agenda! I know it will help you get all of your 2019 goals accomplished!

xxoo,

Melissa
