Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, OH. My. Gosh.
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is here y’all and it is goooooddddd. I know, I know. You are probably thinking “Why in the world are all these people obsessed with this sale?” Well, after making the recent discovery of this sale only last year (how in the world this happened, I don’t know), I realized how largely I was missing out on such a an awesome event. So, let’s break it down on your who, what, when, where and why.
What is it?
The Anniversary sale is basically a sale by Nordstrom in which they take all of their upcoming fall clothes that have not been released yet and cut down the prices pretty significantly. You can get all your essentials including handbags, shoes, sunglasses, beauty gift sets, winter jackets, and fall staples like flannels and sweaters. All of these items are typically discounted anywhere from 30-50% off as well, so they are great buys.
Who can shop it?
Everyone can shop the sale, but when you can shop it is a different story. The sale first opens up to Nordstrom card holders. Level four card holders (highest level), are able to go first. That was July 11 this year. These members can only shop by appointment in-store and are the first to have access to all of the goodies. Then, July 12-19 it opens to all cardholders in-store and online. During this time, only people who have a Nordstrom card can shop the sale. You do not need an appointment at this time. Following that, it opens to the general public. At this point it is hard because some items may have already sold out or be out of sizes. They do restock, but not on everything.
How to shop it?
Prior to it opening on July 11, the only information you know about the sale is from the catalog. Personally, I don’t think this does it any justice. It is always wayyyyy better than the catalog, so don’t let that deter you. Some of the larger bloggers (not me…yet haha), will get sent teasers from Nordstrom so they know what will be in the sale, but other than that it’s all pretty hush hush. As a result (and because I like to be organized), I plan ahead. Since we know it is going to be fall essentials I think about what I want to be living in this fall. I also think about what really good deals the sale has. Some of the things I love to stock up on from the sale are premium denim, boots/booties, sweaters, and workout clothes. I feel like all of these things are typically at really good prices and allow me to save money when I normally wouldn’t be able to.
Okay, now that you know how to shop the sale, I figured I would share a few of my favorites from the sale. These are just a few of my favorites and I will probably continue to release my purchases with more try on specifics, but I wanted you to all know my must haves. It’s funny because yesterday I spent all morning at Nordstrom, yet I still feel like there are items I’m thinking about and wanting to go back for haha!
These Sam Edelman boots are everything! I actually bought these in black, but I am in love with this color. They are sooo puuurrrttyyyyy. Original price $224.95, Anniversary Sale $149.90
I went to the Anniversary sale with these in mind. I love Alo and to get some of their leggings on sale is such a steal! Plus, since I am typically in scrubs or workout clothes, I will definitely be living in these. They come in black and a beautiful duster blue. True to size. Original price $110, Anniversary Sale $72.90
Jeans, jeans, jeans. Being a girl on a budget I had to be choosy about what I splurged on. For me, good workout clothes, premium denim, and delicious handbags are ALWAYS worth it. So far, I have only picked up this pair, but I have my eye on a couple others. Original price $189, Anniversary Sale $109.90
One thing the Anniversary sale does well is sweaters. I loved the shade of pink of this one, plus it was so soft on my skin without being itchy (sensitive skin girls, ya feel me?). Once again, I have only picked up one so far because I purchased quite a few from last year, but I’ll probably be scoping out more haha. Original price $98, Anniversary Sale $64.90
I feel like this photo DOES NOT do this dress justice. We all know Leith does dresses well (I think we all own their body-con ruched dress in at least one color), and this one is no different. It fits snuggly, but the material is super soft and breathable. For girls in the south, I think this is a great go-to for running errands and cruising around town in. Its breathable, easy to wear, and an outfit all in one! I sized down in this from a medium to an extra small and it also comes in a beautiful periwinkle. Original price $65, Anniversary Sale 42.90
I hope you enjoyed this sneak peak my loves! Stay tuned for more try-on hauls and posts in regards to pieces purchased. I am having so much fun participating in this sale. I swear I’ve been like a kid in a candy shop haha. Comment below your questions!
xoxo,
Melissa
